If You are a Parent (as defined below), please read this Privacy Policy carefully, as Your actions may have impact on Your Child’s privacy rights.


SAFERIZE (SAFERIZE Inc.) appreciates and acknowledges the vital importance of privacy, security and data protection to our clients and to all data subjects that might have their Personal Data (as defined below) processed through our systems. Taking into account the nature of our services, SAFERIZE does its utmost to provide adequate protections and to implement consistent and rigorous policies and procedures.


This Privacy Policy informs You of our privacy practices and of the choices You can make about the way we collect and use information about You or a Child, including information that may be collected from Your online activity and which may be processed as a consequence of our services. This Privacy Policy is to be considered as an addition to the SAFERIZE Terms of Services.


For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:


(“Personal Data”) means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person


(“You”) whenever You can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as Your name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to Your identity.


(“Child” or “Children”) refers to the individual, age of which each Client (below) defines, but necessarily someone below 18 years, who through an attempt to login or use Client’s website/app, will trigger the SAFERIZE identification and consent mandatory procedures.


(“Client”) refers to the entity, usually a content provider or publisher, that has agreed to use the SAFERIZE PCA as a service, in accordance with SAFERIZE Terms of Service.


(“Parent(s)”) refers to the individual declared by the Child as his parent or legal guardian, and who ultimately will use the SAFERIZE parental control functionalities.


(“SAFERIZE PCA”) shall mean the SAFERIZE parental control application, provided as a service, to Clients.




SAFERIZE PCA solution is directed to publishers and content providers (“Clients”), enabling those to provide to Parents control over the use by Children of Client’s own services or content (i.e. when Children visit Client’s website/app).  SAFERIZE PCA works primarily by matching a Child to a Parent and then automatically conveying Parent’s preferences regarding the availability of Client’s services or content to Children.  In order to provide such Services, SAFERIZE relies both on data provided by Clients and data provided by You, especially, if You are a Parent.


This Privacy Policy describes the collection and use of Personal Data by SAFERIZE when You visit our website/app to buy services or gather information (e.g. visit our blog) or when you use our services (e.g. to modify parent control preferences). By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, You declare and agree that SAFERIZE may use Your Personal Data accordingly. 




This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party applications, products, services, websites or social media features that may be accessed through links we provide for Your convenience and information. Accessing those links will cause You to leave our environment and may result in the collection or sharing of information about You by a third-party. We do not control, endorse or make any representations about those third-party websites or their privacy practices, which may differ from ours. We encourage You to review the privacy policy of any website You interact with before allowing the collection and use of Your Personal Data.




SAFERIZE collects certain Personal Data when You register with SAFERIZE, request information about us or when You use SAFERIZE services. In registering with SAFERIZE or requesting information, You may provide us with a password, Your real name, industry, organization name, job role, and contact information, such as e-mail address, phone number, and shipping address. As a Parent, although you will not be required, you may provide us with Personal Data of your Child, such as name, address, age, identification numbers, together with Your preferences regarding what you deem as an adequate online activity to your Child. We may collect payment information or identification information such as Your credit card, the 4 last digits of your social security number, data deriving from the upload of an ID document or of a digital signature, number and billing address if You purchase product or services from us. We may also combine information You provide with data we collect automatically (as further described below) and with data we receive from third-parties.


Whenever You access SAFERIZE service, SAFERIZE may also receive and record information on our server logs from Your browser, including Your computer’s or mobile device’s operating system type and version, browser type and language, device type, geolocation data, Wi-Fi networking connection data, Your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and geographic areas derived from Your IP address, SAFERIZE cookie information, file information, time stamped logs regarding access times and duration of visits, the websites You visited before coming to SAFERIZE websites, persistent identifiers, and other usage data relating to Your activities on our websites, including the pages You request. We may relate this information to the Personal Data You provide for purposes described in this Privacy Policy.




Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to Your device, or more technically, to the browser that You use on that device, when You visit a site. The entity that places cookies on Your browser can then read the information on that cookie that it set. Cookies are typically classified as either “session cookies” which do not stay on Your device after You close Your browser or “persistent cookies” which will usually remain on Your device until You delete them or they expire.


When You visit our website, we place information on Your computer in the form of a cookie, which is recognized automatically the next time You visit us. Cookies allow us, for example, to adapt our website to meet Your interests. If You do not wish us to recognize Your computer again later, please set Your web browser to delete cookies from Your computer, to block all cookies or to warn You before saving a cookie. Note, however, You may not be able to avail of the full scope of our website functions. In this respect, note that SAFERIZE uses certain cookies which are unrelated to online advertising: (i) account access security cookies; (ii) functional cookies, which preserve the functionality of navigational elements; and (iii) language or regional setting cookies.


SAFERIZE may also track IP addresses for purposes of system administration, to report aggregate information, site tracking, to prevent our servers from being abused and for other uses described in this Privacy Policy.




We use Your Personal Data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and to manage our relationship with You and provide You with better services, including by personalizing Your interaction and experience with us. For example, we may use Your information to:


  1. conduct our ordinary business operations, including to verifying Your identity, making credit decisions, completing transactions and orders of our products or services, administering Your account, processing payments and conducting business research and analytics;
  2. for staff training and quality assurance purposes (which may include monitoring or recording calls to our customer support) and, generally, improving our internal operations and the performance of systems, products and services, which includes innovation activities such as creating new products, features and services using research and development tools and incorporating data analysis activities;
  • improve Your customer experiences, by maintaining accurate contact and registration data, offering adequate and improved products, services and features that may interest You and enabling You to participate in contests and surveys;
  1. respond to Your comments, questions and complaints;
  2. send You service-related information, including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages;
  3. communicate with You and Your referrals about promotions, upcoming events, and news about products and services offered by SAFERIZE and our business partners;
  • link or combine information about You with other data we get from third parties, to help understand Your needs and provide You with better and more personalized service; 
  • enforce our terms and conditions or protect our business, partners or clients; 
  1. protect against, investigate, and deter fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.


From the perspective of a Parent, and specifically for the operation of the SAFERIZE PCA, we use Personal Data (both collected by us and by Clients) to: (i) establish a match between a Child and a Parent (Child declares an assumed Parent and SAFERIZE uses Personal Data to reasonably verify Child’s assertion); (ii) automatically convey to Clients Parent’s parental control preferences; and (iii) provide analytics services regarding preferences to Clients.




We do not share Personal Data to third-parties unless You have previously agreed to this or it is legally permissible for us to do so.


As any other business, SAFERIZE relies on service providers to manage and support, on our behalf, certain aspects of our business operations. These service providers may be located in the US or in other global locations and may provide services such as, data hosting, IT and cloud services, debt-collection, fraud management services, customer support and advertising and marketing activities. Our service providers are required by contract to safeguard any Personal Data they receive from us and are prohibited from using the Personal Data for any purpose other than to perform the services as instructed by SAFERIZE.


We may also share Your Personal Data when we believe, in good faith, that we have an obligation to: (i) comply with any law, regulation or court order; (ii) respond to duly authorized information requests of regulators, law enforcement agencies and other public authorities, including in instances associated to natural security threats; (iii) enforce and/or protect the rights and properties of SAFERIZE, including to investigate fraud and help prevent security threats or other criminal or malicious activity; or (iv) protect the legitimate interests of third-parties, including the personal safety of SAFERIZE employees.


SAFERIZE may, for strategic or other reasons, decide to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize its businesses. In such instances, it may be the case that we disclose or transfer Your Personal Data to prospective or actual purchasers.


We may also share Your Personal Data with: (i) credit reference and fraud prevention agencies; (ii) debt collection agencies (for outstanding debts with us); (iii) other third parties, such as our business partners, with the appropriate notice and consent. If You choose to provide Personal Data to these other companies, that Personal Data will be handled according to the privacy policy of those companies, which may differ from SAFERIZE’s policies and practices




You agree that we can collect, process and use Your Personal Data for our own advertising or market research purposes and, in particular, to improve the goods and services offered by us.  We can collect, collate and use Your data, along with that of other members, in anonymized form in order to improve our services, website and advertisements. 


SAFERIZE also allows that certain third-parties, such as analytics companies, advertisers and ad networks, automatically collect information about You through our websites, using cookies, web beacons, and device identifiers, including Personal Data about Your online activities over time and across different websites, devices, online channels and applications when You use our websites. Among other things, this may allow ours or other targeted advertising to be shown to You when You are visiting other websites, for example advertising relevant to Your age group, Your location or to services that You have looked at, recommended, used (this is known as remarketing, retargeting or behavioral advertising). However, if You see advertising of this sort, it does not mean that we have provided the advertising parties with Personal Data such as Your name, address and date of birth.




Our primary goal is to allow parents to easily supervise and approve what Children are doing with Client’s apps and how they interact with Client’s content. Out ultimate purpose, thus, is to protect Children.  The protection of Children’s privacy is a huge part of our aspiration.  With that in mind, SAFERIZE PCA technology and processes embed privacy in their design.  Specifically, SAFERIZE PCA: (i) only collects Children’s unique and/or persistent identifiers (e.g. ID) which are strictly necessary to match a Child to a Parent or to restrict circumvention to SAFERIZE PCA by a Child ; (ii) collects observational data (active machine collection) from Children only if duly anonymized; (iii) only collects other Children Personal Data directly from Parent (passive collection).




We will only use Your email address for those purposes for which You have provided it (e.g. membership-related messages, sending status emails, notifications regarding purchases or preferences and sales). You will only receive advertising from us via email if You have agreed to do so or where the law otherwise allows.


If You have expressly agreed to the receipt of marketing emails or newsletters (e.g. when You register or during a later sign in), You thereby agree to receive SAFERIZE communications containing content chosen by us, or emails with advertising, at the email address that You have supplied to us. SAFERIZE communications may appear at regular or irregular intervals and, in addition to information pertaining to SAFERIZE, may contain offers from SAFERIZE business partners or third-parties.  You can unsubscribe to SAFERIZE communications at any time via a link in the communication in question.




We use the usual standard physical, electronic and managerial security procedures, including encryption, passwords and physical security as an effort to protect Your Personal Data from unauthorized access and disclosure and to prevent annoying communication (spam). However, You should know that no company, including SAFERIZE, can fully eliminate security risks associated with Personal Data.


To help protect Yourself, please use a strong password, do not use the same passwords to access Your SAFERIZE accounts that You use with other accounts or services, and protect Your user names and passwords to help prevent others from accessing Your accounts and services.


Personal Data we collect may be retained for as long as needed to fulfill legitimate business purposes, including the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or for a period of time specifically required or allowed by applicable regulations or laws.




You have the right to have access granted to any Personal Data that You have provided to us or that we keep about You. Moreover, You have the right to withdraw any consent previously granted or to request amendment, correction, anonymization or deletion of Your Personal Data and to request a clarification about the processing. In certain cases, Your request may be denied on a legitimate basis such as where making information available would reveal Personal Data about another data subject or where SAFERIZE is legally prevented from disclosing such information.




As technology and our Services advance, we will also adapt our Privacy Policy.  When this happens, we will post the revised statement here, with an updated revision date. If necessary, ask You for fresh agreement. All the same, You should view this page on a regular basis in order to find out about the current status of our Privacy Policy.




If most use of Your Personal Data is based on Your agreement, this agreement can be revoked at any time; the revocation, however, will only apply to future use of the data. You can revoke this agreement by an email to Revocation of Your agreement and consent may mean that certain services are no longer available or will be limited. SAFERIZE retains the right to exercise our data activities on a legal basis at any time.
